I have used several pawn shops in Salem over the years, and I feel compelled to write a review because this place is by far the best. I sold some antique silver there last week, and was offered more money than the other 2 places I went to. The guys were straight-up about how they had calculated the price, and I found it fair. The staff was professional and the shop itself was nicer/newer than what I’ve seen elsewhere. I recommend this shop above the others in town… big time.

First time customer here today. Capital Pawn had advertised a guitar on Craigslist that I was interested in. It’s about a 30-40 drive for me one way, and decided to head on down. Upon arrival I was cheerfully greeted, and (they) were very helpful & informative. I also had a couple items that I wanted to inquire about getting “trade” on. (They) gave me absolute fair prices on my items, and a good deal on my new guitar. I’ve been to a few pawn shops in the surrounding area before, but I must say that this one is on top of them all. Very clean, organized, comfortable environment, and as mentioned…an OUTSTANDING staff. I will be a return customer without question.

I have been a customer for a long time. There prices are very reasonable on their merchandise. The staff are always friendly and greets you with a smile and a welcome. Their store is clean and well organized. I love shopping there, and I live clear on the other side of town and won’t shop at any other pawn store. Capital Pawn is the best. My experience at Capital Pawn in Salem, OR was very pleasant. Staff was very courteous and helpful. We got a 60-day loan with very reasonable interest fees. Staff also through in 5 PS2 games for my son free of charge, which was an amazing Christmas gift in itself. I highly recommend Capital Pawn.

I went in a few days ago to buy silver. They were very helpful and took the time to explain all my options. They carry a great selection of firearms, and I found a rifle I had been looking for at a great price. They are super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I can’t recommend them enough.

Great group of people
Came in to sell some jewelry and ended up looking around as well. What a great group of people. Very friendly staff. They offered rewards to my girls for good behavior. I will be going back for sure.

Professional staff
Courteous. Professional staff. People selling or pawning their personal items usually do so out of urgent need for money. The typical pawn shop would take advantage of that leaving the customer feeling cheated and humiliated. Capital Pawn has erased those images with a friendly and courteous staff that conduct as professionals that respect and appreciate their customers. Customer service that every business should model itself too… my only regret is only having 5 stars to give.

You never want to have to pawn something, but isn’t it nice to be able to if you need to. After a string of life changing events I have needed to lean on this place pretty hard, and they have come through for me every time.
